About Me
I am a Psychiatrist who use Internal Family Systems therapy to help children, adolescents and adults. I work with mental health issues around depression, anxiety, trauma and grief. I also help with deeper underlying issues such as being a 'people pleaser', 'finding it hard to say no', 'needing to get things right', difficulties with anger, and difficulties with intimacy and forming relationships.

I have experience as a senior psychiatrist in the public health system, where I've spent a long time working out what works and what doesn't.

My understanding of how we view mental health has fundamentally changed over time, and I have come to appreciate the importance of understanding, validating and appreciating all the facets of one's experience.

After all, each of us deserves to feel safe, each of us deserves to feel respected, each of us deserves to feel heard.

I also have an interest in helping people who experience the following:
- getting angry then feeling bad about getting angry
- people who feel bad without knowing the reason
- people who find themselves overly preoccupied with what the person who they are talking to might be thinking about them
- people who have relationship difficulties, including finding it hard to form a relationship
- people who still feel bad even after everyone tells them they shouldn't be feeling bad.
